Ownership and funding
This page explains who owns Little Roots, how it is funded, and what could potentially influence what gets written. We would rather say it plainly than leave it to guesswork.
Who owns Little Roots
Little Roots is owned and operated by Dr. Anthony Pellegrino, DC. Dr. Pellegrino is a pediatric chiropractor whose clinical focus includes infant cranial development, nervous system adaptability, and tongue function.
How it is funded
The site is personally funded by Dr. Pellegrino and his professional-education brand, The Cranial Doc. There are no outside investors, no parent company, and no media partners directing what gets written.
What we do not take money from
- Advertising. We do not run banner ads, sponsored placements, or third-party ad networks.
- Sponsored content. No company pays to have a product, technique, or service mentioned on this site. If a product is named, it is because we use or recommend it clinically.
- Affiliate revenue. Outbound links to products, books, or services do not earn us a commission. If that ever changes, this page will say so explicitly and the links will be labeled.
- Your data. We do not sell or share visitor data. See our privacy page for the full breakdown.
Related properties
Dr. Pellegrino operates two adjacent brands. We mention them here because parents and clinicians who read Little Roots may encounter them and should understand how they connect.
- The Cranial Doc is a professional-education brand for chiropractors who want to deepen their clinical work with infants and children. It includes courses, a podcast, and hands-on clinical training. The Cranial Doc co-funds Little Roots.
- The Baby Head Shape Calculator is a free clinical tool built by Dr. Pellegrino for chiropractors and pediatric care providers to measure CVAI and CI and generate parent-facing summaries. Free to use, no signup required. Some parents arrive at Little Roots from a chiropractor who used this tool to measure their baby.
Conflicts of interest
Because The Cranial Doc trains chiropractors in pediatric cranial work, the content on Little Roots takes the position that early, hands-on chiropractic care has a meaningful role in healthy infant cranial development. That is a clinical position Dr. Pellegrino has held for years and teaches in practice. It is not a position shaped by outside funding or sponsorship.
When Little Roots publishes a find-a-chiropractor directory, it will list clinicians who have completed The Cranial Doc clinical training. This is intentional. The goal is a directory that reflects clinicians whose work meets a known standard, not an open marketplace. The training relationship will be disclosed on the directory page itself.
